AZEEMA is a print magazine, online platform and creative agency, exploring the strength and creativity of women and non-binary folk of the Global Majority.

AZEEMA is an Arabic name meaning: determination, resoluteness, firmness of purpose and strength. It’s short definition: brave, strong and courageous. 

We amplify the voices of our community through our online platform and print magazine. We create cultural and visual magic with our creative agency. We celebrate, connect and party in style with AZEEMA FM and our events.

We pride ourselves in challenging and confronting issues surrounding representation, by creating a space that is inclusive and celebratory of our different cultures and beliefs. We create and share striking visuals made by and featuring our diasporic community.

AZEEMA was hailed Independent magazine of the year by Fashion Trust Arabia (2021-22). And listed on the prestigious DAZED 100 (2021).

FAQ’s

Where are you based? We are currently based in London and have international representatives.

Where do you ship? Internationally!

How long does shipping usually take? Domestic takes 3-4 working days. Europe is 3-5 days and international is 5-7 days. (times to Europe may now take longer - sadly due to Brexit customs regulations) - Please note we post everything ourselves, so sometimes it might take longer for us to get to the post office, thank you for your patience in advance!

What happens if I haven’t received my order? If you think your order has been lost please contact us and we can track your parcel. Before getting in touch, please use the tracking number provided when shipped to see if you can locate the parcel via Royal Mail. If you are still unable to locate it, or there is still an issue please do get in touch.

How can I submit to AZEEMA? Our online submissions are now open! Please check the contact page for more details. We love hearing from you so get in touch.

Do we have any vacancies? We do not currently have any team vacancies. Though we are often looking for freelancers for various projects, writers for online and designers. Keep an eye on our socials for any upcoming call outs.

How many issues of the magazine are there? We have released 4 print issues since 2017. Our latest being the Rituals Issue.

Do you pay for online written submissions/contributions? We currently are unable to pay our online or print contributors, unless it is a commercial partnership through our agency/media partnership. We are still a growing independent platform/business and unfortunately our editorial team are still voluntary at this time.
