AZEEMA x Bleu Nour Perfumery Workshop

This June, we collaborated with Nour Ibrahim, founder of fragrance design studio Bleu Nour, to deliver a special perfume-making workshop for our community.

Founded in 2021 by Parisian-Lebanese Nour Ibrahim, Bleu Nour celebrates the profound relation between colour, scent, memory and emotion. Nour, a self-taught perfumer, has a neurological condition called ‘synesthesia’ in which information meant to stimulate one sense stimulates several. In Nour’s case, it means the sight of colour creates an olfactory experience. Taking a holistic approach to scent curation, Bleu Nour aims to provide an olfactory experience informed by the memories that aromas evoke.

The workshop provided guests with an introduction to perfumery through the identification of different scents. Nour guided us through synesthesia, making fragrances safely, and how scents can be visualised through colour.

Courtesy of self-taught Nour’s teaching, our guests took home their own bespoke creations encased in her beautiful packaging.
